2024 International Father’s Day, 16th June: A Grandfather and Crusader against Child Abuse, Dr Eric Oluedo, congratulates all the fathers in the world on this year’s special day of celebration. Speaking on the Theme of 2024 Father’s Day: “Celebrating Fatherhood: Strength, Love and Sacrifice”, Dr Oluedo advised the fathers to play active roles to curb the uncontrollable rate of Divorce especially among the youths.
He further stated that there are 3 types of fathers: Fathers who make things happen; Fathers who Watch things happen; And Fathers who Wonder why things happen. In this year’s Father’s Sunday, he requests all the Fathers to join those who make good things happen.

The earliest known Father’s Day celebration was held on June 19, 1910, in Spokane, Washington. The day became a permanent public holiday in the US after President Richard Nixon signed it into law in 1972.
