2025 Ikorodu Child Abuse: The Singer of “Child Abuse (by Nze Dr. O”), Dr Oluedo Eric has strongly warned on the grave danger the world faces by continuing Child Abuse practices in the face of Uncontrolled Artificial Intelligence, Social media and Digital Innovations in the hands of the abused and angry children. Speaking on Alleged Abuse of 3-year-old Abayomi Micheal by Teacher Stella Nwadigo of Christ-Mitots School, Ikorodu, Lagos State, Dr Oluedo, who is also an International Crusader against Child Abuse, stressed that an abused child is an angry and unforgivable child. And it is this anger and aggression from rampant cases of Child Abuse, that contribute to their very poor mental, emotional, social health, zero empathy and very poor academic and career successes. Hence they constantly engage in violent retaliatory behaviors as witnessed recently in the alarming rate of terrorism, banditry, terrorism, kidnapping and domestic servants killing and robbing their employers etc.
He finally advised Parents and Teachers to adopt Gentle Parenting, also known as child-led parenting style that emphasizes empathy, understanding, collaboration and respect, and aims to create a safe and nurturing environment for children. The positive Mindset of Collaboration with Children instead of being in Competition with them by Parents and Teachers is highly recommended at all homes and schools.
