Attempted assassination of Donald Trump in Butler, Pennsylvania by Thomas Matthew Crooks: An International Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) Expert and Crusader for World Peace, Dr Eric Oluedo, has condemned the attempted assassination of Donald Trump in Butler, Pennsylvania. Speaking on the attempted assassination attempt, Dr Oluedo, cautioned leaders aspiring for political offices to desist from provocative and hate speeches against their opponents to avoid repeat occurrences.
Trump was shot at during a campaign rally in Pennsylvania Saturday, leaving two people, including the shooter, dead and two people critically injured. Trump was hit in the ear by a bullet but was otherwise unharmed.
Thomas Matthew Crooks, 20. was identified by the Federal Bureau of Investigation as the shooter and an investigation into his motives is ongoing.
The Kremlin accused the Biden administration of creating the environment that led to the assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump, Reuters reported Sunday. “We do not believe that the attempt to eliminate and assassinate Trump was organized by the current authorities,” Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters. “But the atmosphere around candidate Trump … provoked what America is confronting today.” Moscow called on the United States Sunday to “take stock” of its “policies of incitement to hatred”, while using the assassination attempt on former president Donald Trump to denounce support for Ukraine. Addressing “those who vote in the United States to supply arms” to Kyiv, the Russian foreign ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova denounced support for Kyiv, which she said stoked “attacks against the Russian president”. She added that “perhaps it would be better to use this money to fund the American police and other services that are supposed to ensure law and order in the United States?”
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said he was “shocked” and is praying for Trump’s “safety and speedy recovery.” A witness told the BBC he saw a man with a rifle crawling on a roof before shots rang out, and that he tried to warn police.
Donald Trump, who says he was shot in the ear during the Saturday rally, calls on Americans to “stand united” after the attack.
President Biden, who will speak publicly again tonight, said today that he has ordered a review of RNC security and Rally security. President Joe Biden, says “there’s no place for this kind of violence” in the US.
